As expected and predicted, Karan Johar's Punit Malhotra directed I HATE LUV STORYS has taken a good start across all multiplexes of not only big cities and Metros but also at mid-size cities and towns. The first day saw especially good performance in Mumbai circuit, Delhi UP and East Punjab. And this is good news for Anil Thadani and Subhash Ghai.
Some may wonder why? Well, as we had informed sometimes back, Anil Thadani had brought the rights of Mumbai circuit for around 8 crores while Subhash Ghai's Mukta Movies Distributors had procured the Delhi -UP and additionally East Punjab for around 6.25 crores.
The flying start that the Imran Khan-Sonam Kapoor starrer I HATE LUV STORYS has taken is definitely good news for not only Ghai and Thadani but also the whole film industry that was going through quite a rough patch after RAAJNEETI, due to the RAAVAN setback.
It also spells good news for Imran Khan who has not had a hit since his first film JAANE TU...YA JAANE NA was declared a blockbuster. And let us not forget Sonam, she is yet to taste her first success ever since her debut in SAAWARIYA.
Well, let's hope that I HATE LUV STORYS continues its good run not only in the weekend but also during the weekdays and is declared a success.
