With the success of I HATE LUV STORYS, Karan Johar is having the final laugh. Though a few prominent film makers had presumably dismissed young actors Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor after their last couple of outings, Karan was quite confident about both of them. In fact after SAAWARIYA and DELHI 6 where Sonam played a girl next door, Karan had good confidence to rope her in for something as chic as I HATE LUV STORYS. One wonders if Sonam is aware about any other film makers in the industry who had a similar perception.
"I can't comment on people perception about me. How can I? People would tell something on my face but would have an altogether different perception about me. May be they would say different things about me on my back", shrugs Sonam.
"Perhaps you could answer this question better; you would be hearing frank opinions from people. I can't expect that to come to me directly", she adds.
She has a point of view to share about the oscillating reception that an actor gets in the industry release after release. Looking in the past there have been number of instances when an actor is first elevated to great heights and then pulled down soon after a failure.
"But this happens to the best in the business", she exclaims, "Everything goes up and come down. It is gravity and one of the rules of life. Of course it is not amusing but then it should not go into one's head. You should do well and create something ground breaking, something which is real and will always be remembered."
