Each of the top guns from the past and present - whether it is Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan or Saif Ali Khan - has at least one solo blockbuster to his credit. These are the kind of films that have done phenomenal business across the country and brought moolah in the access of 50 crores. In fact even relative newcomers like Ranbir Kapoor (AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI) and Imran Khan (JAANE TU YA JAANE NAA) have smashed records as far as a 50 crores runner is concerned. However, the only actor who still hasn't given a single solo blockbuster which has netted over 50 crores is Ajay Devgn.

One wonders if it is a part of Ajay's strategy where he has kept things in check by making films in reasonable budget and ensuring guaranteed returns instead of going ahead with those 40-50-60 crore ventures.

CHECK OUT: Ajay Devgn-Top 5 slots change as per mood

'See, every script comes with a budget. So today when we say that films are failing, it is not really the whole truth. The fact is that filmein fail nahi ho rahi hain, budget fail ho rahi hai (it's not that the films are failing; it's the budget which is)', Ajay shares his thought here, 'If your content is good enough, it is fine to go ahead and place a high budget on the making of the film. So tomorrow, if a script comes to me which is strong enough to warrant a crazy budget, I will do it. I don't have any set rules for myself.'

Well, with his ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI being made in a good enough budget and carrying wonderful vibes ever since the unveiling of it's first promo, it is a given that the film will open very well at the box office. Even though the release is still around 10 days away, one can comfortably state that this is Milan Luthria directed film is all set to cross the 50 crore barrier for an Ajay Devgn starrer.
