It has been a slightly slow journey for Minissha Lamba in last couple of years but the pretty girl is not minding it. She did pin a lot of hopes in her last release WELL DONE ABBA but poor marketing, promotion and release strategy spelled doom for the film at the box office. The silver lining was some good appreciation that she got from the critics and a select few audience who saw the film in theaters. That has been good enough for Minissha to keep disappointment at bay and look forward to future assignments.
"One has to look at further a film of yours helps you to get further good work or not", philosophizes Minissha, "I have told myself long ago that I would hope for a reward but it doesn't come my way, I won't get overtly disappointed later. This is something that I have always remembered even in my career phase prior to KIDNAP."
CHECK OUT: Minissha reduces her bust size
For someone who showed a lot of promise with her debut outing YAHAAN half a decade back, Minissha is happy to be enjoying a slow but steady journey so far.
"People have been telling me since the release of YAHAAN that I have been a good actress; they have appreciated my work", Minissha cheers up, "Still, the fact remains that you have to constantly prove yourself even after good work. So whether it is YAHAAN, HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD., DUS KAHANIYAAN, SHAURYA, BACHNA AE HASEENO or WELL DONE ABBA - you can't afford to slip at all."
Well, with Minissha playing the central protagonist in her forthcoming release HUM TUM AUR SHABANA (with Tusshar Kapoor) with none other than BHEJA FRY director Sagar Ballary, one does hope and believe that her moment of recognition will finally be round the corner.
