When uncle Mahesh Bhatt had asked Emraan Hashmi to act in his film, FOOTPATH, little did he know that 7-8 years later he would still be around and counted amongst the top ten actors of Bollywood.
As per the actor, he had no ambitions to become an actor, but lady luck has definitely gone Emraan's way and with the positive growth in his career, it will just be a while before he hits the big league. May be it's just around the corner!
Emraan's amazing release to success ratio can be a cause of envy to even the so-called big league actors and with his latest release, Milan Luthria's ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI opening to uniformly good reviews plus the accolades that he is receiving, both from the audience (especially the campus crowd) as well as the critics for his acting and body language, Emraan is all set to hit the big league. Till now mainly confined to his uncle's camp, Emraan is now venturing out and producers are staking big money into music's lucky mascot, serial kisser or whatever we call him.

Next on the menu is award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar's comedy (yes, you read it right!) DIL TO BACHCHA HAI with his OUATIM co-star, master actor Ajay Devgn. And let's not forget, Mohit Suri's CROOK based on racial discrimination in Australia. Although his detractors may say that it is a product of the Bhatt camp, the promo shows that the film is definitely big, both in terms of budget and production values, and may well prove to be Emraan's first big hit in the Overseas.
Well, all we can do is wish the extremely level headed, well balanced, well read actor all the best!
