Yet another newcomer is knocking the doors of Bollywood. Jahan Bloch, daughter of film maker Mehul Kumar, would be making her debut with KRANTIVEER - THE REVOLUTION, the sequel to Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia starrer KRANTIVEER. In the film, Jahan plays the daughter of Patekar, hence taking the story forward where she plays a journalist who is set to lead the revolution against terrorism, violence and corruption.
'Yes, the film is about that section of youth which cares for the country and thinks about its future. My character (Roshni) acts as a pivot for the revolution and gets along her other college mates who have the same mission. They also wish to rid the present society of the evils and cleanse the system', says Jahan.
However, the pretty girl insists that despite the revolution angle, the film is not on the same lines as Mani Ratnam's YUVA which had a similar theme - that of youth taking the system and corruption heads-on.
'No, there is no similarity with YUVA here. In that film, the protagonists (Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi) went on to become political leaders. Here, none of us characters have any ambition to follow that route', says Jahan who sounds far more mature than her age and the limited experience that she carries in front of the camera.
Starring Samir Aftab as the main lead along with Ranjit, Farida Jalal, Govind Namdeo, Mukesh Rishi, Aman Verma, Aditya Singh Rajput and Harsh, KRANTIVEER - THE REVOLUTION releases all over on 25th June.
