Both Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor are the new entrants in the industry. Also, both of them are in real need of a box office success. While Imran didn't have much luck running in his favour after LUCK and KIDNAP, Sonam too is yet to find her groove despite biggies like SAAWARIYA and DELHI 6 behind her. However, the man with over a decade of film making experience, Karan Johar, is sure that with I HATE LUV STORYS, the two actors would be able to win audience heart in a big way.
"I think the two form a very fresh pair and that should work for the audience. In fact ever since the promotion of I HATE LUV STORYS began a fortnight back, there has been excellent feedback all over. People are reacting to the freshness factor. Over and above that, there is also youthful energy which they bring and that is pretty much visible in the film", says Karan who is making love stories, though of a different kind, as evidenced in WAKE UP SID and KURBAAN last year.

Despite the flops behind them, Imran and Sonam see good support coming their way from Karan Johar.
"Imran has already shown so much promise in his very first film JAANE TU YA JAANE NAA so I don't think I am required to say much there. On the other hand everyone knows that Sonam is beautiful and established her credentials as someone who is a girl next door", says Karan, "However, while she was very Indian in DELHI 6 and SAAWARIYA, there is a different kind of girl next door that she plays in I HATE LUV STORYS. She is presented in such an avtar for the first time because the movie by itself offers so much fun."
With music by Vishal-Shekhar, the film releases all over on 2nd July.
