Bobby Deol and Mugdha Godse recently unveiled the first look of their horror-thriller HELP at IIFA awards 2010. Often it has been seen that in a film like this which belongs to supernatural thriller genre, it's the sound and camerawork that takes precedence over acting. In such a scenario, where does the story fit in?
"Well, HELP is indeed an out and out supernatural thriller", agrees Mugdha, "Also, the film has the kind of script which I have never heard before. But then it is not one of those films on Indian black magic. Also, to address your point on technical aspects taking precedence then well, there are very few visual effects that have been used here. There is a lot of real make up though. Prosthetics have been put to great use and they meet international standards. The film has an entirely different look. People haven't seen such horror films in Bollywood at the least."

One wonders though if Mugdha has indeed been following Bollywood horror fest off late. Quite a few have actually failed in the first half of the year, case in point being CLICK, SHAAPIT, PHOONK 2, ROKKK - most of which couldn't quite set the cash registers ringing.
"From the earlier horror films, Ram Gopal Varma's RAAT stays on to be my favourite. It had been the scariest ever though I loved BHOOT as well", Mugdha continues to talk about her fascination with horror flicks, "However, poor Bobby (Deol) never watches horror films. On the sets, he used to say that he didn't quite know how he ended up working on HELP (smiles). As for the recent films that you mention, I haven't seen all of them but as I have stated earlier, I am quite confident about HELP."
Directed by Rajeev Virani, HELP releases all over on 9th July, 2010.
