She started off with two releases in two years. And now it is going to be four releases in a matter of 12 months for Sonam Kapoor. Clearly, there is a lot going for the pretty girl who, after SAAWARIYA and DELHI 6, has clearly picked up steam as far as her newer films are concerned. With I HATE LUV STORYS (June) and AISHA (July) arriving back to back, shooting of THANK YOU progressing well and MAUSAM picking up heat as well, there is a lot happening for Sonam who is looking far more chic and happening with each of her subsequent outings.
However, Sonam doesn't agree to the theory that she has been on a signing spree of sorts over the months gone by. "Yes, I agree that two of my films are now releasing back to back. However, it is just coincidental. Moreover, due to producers' strike, number of films had to be shifted around."
"I have always believed in giving good time to each of my films. Earlier it was one film every year. Later it became two in a year and hence we see I HATE LUV STORYS and AISHA arriving so close. Now it would be after a while that THANK YOU and MAUSAM would release", she adds,
Though it is visible that her career that has pretty much speed rocketed over the last few months, Sonam also attributes her new films to some exciting scripts that have come her way.
"I am getting some good roles to play and when something nice and exciting comes my way, I can't let them go", she smiles, "I am young, the characters I am getting are young. Moreover I just love working and I think it just works for me if I am occupied with back to back films."
