Yet another enmity seems to have been forgiven and forgotten. A couple of years back when there was a rift between Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta, there were clear battle lines that were drawn. Though Suniel Shetty was a part of the team till then, the rift meant that there were clear sides being taken. Result? Sanjay Gupta was left to fend for himself as friendship between Suniel Shetty and Sanjay Dutt continued to thrive. Now that the dust has settled down, doesn't Sanjay Gupta miss Suniel being around?
"Really, I have never had anything against him. I have shared great personal and professional relationship with him right from KAANTE to SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA to DUS KAHANIYAAN. For us as a director and an actor, we have enjoyed a fabulous win-win situation", says Gupta who is looking at a new phase in his professional life now, "However, Suniel did admit a few months back that he had to take sides due to which he stood by Dutt. I am okay with that, after all everybody has to figure out what works with them. At that time, he was making two films with Dutt and I can understand his situation."
One wonders whether he is just sounding politically correct.
"When it comes to Suniel, it is not about being politically correct", says Gupta in an emotional tone, "My relationship goes beyond him because I have respect and admiration for his wife Mana and their children. They are like family to me. When it comes to Suniel, I look at his as an estranged brother. Arrey bhai bhai mein problem hoti hai, it's okay. Whether reconciliation happens or not is immaterial. Tomorrow, if God forbid at any point in time he needs me, I would be more than 100% available to him."
