As per film maker Dibakar Banerjee, there are three different stories that run in LOVE SEX AUR DHOKHA, all of which are connected to each other in one way or another. Arriving in an episodic manner with the ending revealing a strong interconnection, the stories in LSD promise to be woven together in some manner in spite of being isolated and completely independent in principal.
'One of the stories is that of a journalist who holds a hidden camera on his body all the time', Dibakar reveals, 'He is looking at one big scandal and ever so ready for a sting operation. Second story is about the happenings in a shop which are captured via a security camera. And then the third story is about a couple who are falling in love just like the way it happens in a typical Bollywood love story. In fact this last story is about a film being shot within a film because the situation is such that there outside that film, there is also a parallel love story shaping up.'
It is this reality factor which is the USP of LSD, a co-production of Ekta Kapoor/Shobha Kapoor and Priya Sreedharan (who was incidentally also the Executive Producer of OYE LUCKY! LUCKY OYE!). A digital film with (cliched as it may sound) a hidden camera playing a character by itself, LSD features a bunch of newcomers with no mainstream trappings to it. Also, sex and voyeurism form a major driving force of the narrative of this film which is now ready and marching forward in post production.
With a bold subject to boast of, LSD is creating quite some curiosity around itself. All one can do now is wait for the film to arrive in theaters and catch up on what Dibakar, the man behind immensely entertaining KHOSLA KA GHOSLA and OYE LUCKY! LUCKY OYE!, has to offer in his newest offering which is aiming for a 19th March release.
