The promos of Manisha Koirala's long-in-the-making EK SECOND...JO ZINDAGI BADAL DE? are finally on air and terming them as tacky would be an understatement. Appearing to be hurriedly shot, the promos seem to be going nowhere with the USP of this Partho Ghosh directed film - the dramatic quotient - being totally missing. The focus is on the song and dance routine, something which is the weakest link of the film. Though one would have expected an announcement on the lines of 'Partho Ghosh-Manisha Koirala comeback after a decade', the makers have surprisingly chosen to ignore this very aspect in the film's promotion.
"This is the reason why it is nothing short of a surprise to see the film suddenly announcing a concrete release date loud and clear", says a trade follower, "The film is all set for a 4th June release but really, the interest in EK SECOND... JO ZINDAGI BADAL DE? has totally diminished over a period of time. Not that there would have been much difference to the fate of the film had it arrived a little earlier. However, a heads-on collision with RAAJNEETI, which releases on the same date, is hardly the kind of decision that would make either Ghosh or Manisha happy."
No wonder, it seems improbable that the cast here would be much enthusiastic about this dated film which is hardly the kind that comebacks are made of. Though the film's title proclaims that 'a single second may change an entire life', it is nothing short of ironical to believe that the two years gone by too would hardly make any difference to the professional life of the actor and director here.
