During the last one year at least, there have been reports of all not being well between Roshans and Anurag Basu as far as the making of KITES was concerned. While Rakesh Roshan was said to be having his own idea around how KITES should be made, Hrithik seemed to be siding with Basu when it came to execution of the written material in a much contemporary manner.

"Such stories have been totally fictional", laughs Basu, "Still, I never wanted to come out and clarify anything. I just sat quietly, took a backseat and read everything only from newspapers. I was like ki chalo yaar, achcha ya bura jo bhi hai, movie is in news."

As for Hrithik taking sides, Anurag says that there is only a section of media which had been writing stories around this.

CHECK OUT: Why Barbara delayed KITES?

"See, people were very curious about the film and how it is being made. In fact there was also this rumour that Raju Hirani was approached for editing KITES. Both of us had a good laugh over it. But all said and done, these stories did make for an interesting read."

Confirming that he and Hrithik have been able to collaborate really well on the film, Anurag says, "Duggu and mere beech mein bahaut jamti hai. We are in synch with everything in the film. Rakeshji left decision making to both of us. There were definitely no fights happening with anyone."
