Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt's film CROOK: IT'S GOOD TO BE BAD is all set to start its Australian schedule. Early this month, there were all speculations in media about the Australian schedule of the film.
Negating the media reports, Mahesh Bhatt, Iconic Film Maker and Presenter of CROOK said "We are filming for the first time in Australia, and the speed of visa processing with no interference in our creative process has been very encouraging."
Australian based film maker and Indian film expert Anupam Sharma said, "My Australian team is excited to work with Mr. Bhatt's team". Commenting on the reports in Indian media about the film, he said, "All the negative hype about Australia in India is just that - HYPE. It is now taking comical proportions as the facts are totally different. The facts are that in the last 9 months some of maximum number of projects and money has been spent in Australia by Indian films ever in the history of Indo Australian film relations, which is just strengthening the relations between the two film industries more than before."
Mukesh Bhatt, the producer of CROOK agrees with the film friendly support from Australia and said "Vishesh films has shot all around the world and we hope to start a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Australia with hopefully many more projects in Australia. The film support mechanisms in Australia have been extremely supportive and we a looking at possible collaborations and co-productions with Australia and Australian companies like Films & Casting Temple"
Film links between India and Australia have grown exponentially over the last decade with millions spend on Australian location, crew, and film services by Indian producers and many India centric Australian films in development with government development investment.
CROOK: IT'S GOOD TO BE BAD to be directed by Mohit Suri is a film about a self-absorbed young Indian man to be played by Emraan Hashmi. It is set to release worldwide later in 2010.
