I HATE LUV STORYS, RAAJNEETI and RAAVAN
The scorching sun and the simmering heat has not dulled the enthusiasm of cinegoers, in fact it has only proved beneficial for Bollywood which was facing one of its worst years in terms of business.
The first film to challenge the summer heat and lure the audience in hordes to the theater was of course Sajid and Sajid's HOUSEFULL. This multi-starrer paved the way for more. Next to follow was Yash Raj's BADMAASH COMPANY which brought added (and unexpected!) joy to the film industry.
Factually speaking the real summer bonanza has just begun, as in most parts of India summer holidays commence only after 15th May. In fact the month of April is mostly reserved for various competitive exams, so in a way it's the second half of May that the holidays and real fun and excitement begins.
With the earth shattering opening that Rakesh Roshan's Anurag Basu directed KITES has embarked upon almost everywhere, it just goes to prove that the real summer festivity has commenced. It also spells good news for other biggies like RAAVAN and RAAJNEETI. Both the multi-starrers are carrying great hype and trade is very upbeat that these two films should carry forward the good work of HOUSEFULL, BADMAASH COMPANY and KITES.
However, there is yet another film that is looking great is Karan Johar's I HATE LUV STORYS. The first look and promos of the film are excellent and this youthful romance will surely excite the young guns who will patronize this film in a big way and make it another JAANE TU...YA JAANE NA for lead actor Imran Khan.
