After a successful launch party event at the Cannes Film Festival co-presented by hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons' Global Grind and DC politico newspaper The Washington Independent, Nuclear Mango's production of LOVE, BARACK (US title: POLITICS OF LOVE) co-starring Mallika Sherawat, officially starts post-production this week in Los Angeles.

Days before the start of principal photography in March, the producers implemented cast and crew changes including the director position and the male lead role for a final cast that included Brian White (STOMP THE YARD, TYLER PERRY'S I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF), Oscar Nominee Ruby Dee (AMERICAN GANGSTER), Loretta Devine (DREAMGIRLS, CRASH), Gerry Bednob (40 YR OLD VIRGIN) and Mallika Sherawat (HISSS), directed by Bill Dear (HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS).

The film's former director Doug McHenry remains a credited creative consultant on the film, and actor Brian White replaced actor Laz Alonso as the new lead of the film. The film's producers made the decision to recast the male lead role with Brian White instead of postponing the shoot after Mr. Alonso was unable to rearrange prior dates that conflicted with the productions shooting schedule.

Since releasing a teaser poster for the film via co-star Sherawat's Twitter account, many publication have incorrectly credited the name of the male actor in the controversial photo where Sherawat and Brian White share a bed covered by an American flag sheet cover.
