Ask the makers of ACTION REPLAYY if the film is yet another 'leave your brains behind' comedy and they can be expected to give you back a stare. Reason being that the writers and director of the film have reportedly put in a great deal of effort to make ACTION REPLAYY stand apart from the brainless comedies which are churned out practically every month. With a definite story to tell and a rock solid screenplay in the offing, the makers are said to have put together a product that would present audience wholesome entertainment.
'Please, ours is not a brainless comedy', shoots back Vipul Shah who has attempted this genre for the first time, 'Yes, it is one of the most light hearted films that I have made but still, content wise there is a lot that is being offered to the audience. There are laughs but then there are also emotions and family values. You have to bring your brains to experience these emotions.'
Vipul insists that though ACTION REPLAYY is not what one would term as a quintessential family film, it has a lot in it that would entice family audience to enjoy it as much as college going youngsters.
'This is the reason I always say that this festive season, come and celebrate the film with us', he smiles, 'ACTION REPLAYY is a celebration film with a set of friends and family. When you would be through watching the film, you would have this bright smile on your face. It is unique to see a fantasy (time travel) plugged with reality as well. Add to that the 70s flavour, two very good looking actors and some hit music and rest assured, you would have a good entertaining time in the theatre.'
