Ranveer Singh is the latest newcomer to join Bollywood bandwagon with his debut flick BAND BAAJA BAARAAT. Not someone who belongs to any Bollywood family, Ranveer, a Mumbaite, was actively pursuing studies when during his days in the college, acting bug bit him hard. He had a change in mind when it came to career choices and while he was sure that it was going to be the world of films for him, he didn't leave his studies mid way and instead completed his graduation before waving academics a good bye.
"I was studying in USA where in the second year I knew that I had to be an actor. Also, it wasn't going to be any TV serials or chota-mota roles for me. I always knew that I had it in me to bag lead roles and once I made up my mind, it was time to begin the struggle. Of course before that, I finished my graduation and on my return to Mumbai, I pretty much expected the grind that I would be going through", Ranveer begins to narrate his tale here.
Meanwhile, Ranveer also used the time and opportunity made available to him by networking with the industry folks. "It always helps to work with an established and reputed team", acknowledges Ranveer, "I started interacting with people from the industry and made them aware about my presence. It was a period of struggle but I managed to survive it."
Well, a happy ending eventually came his way in the form of BAND BAAJA BAARAAT which was offered to him by Yash Raj Films. Now that the film his all set to release on 10th December, it could well be an altogether new beginning for the newcomer who is debuting opposite two films old Anushka Sharma.
