RAKHT CHARITRA is inarguably not just the most violent film made by Ram Gopal Varma in a career spanning close to a couple of decades but also in the history of Bollywood cinema. However, Ramu insists that there is a strong emotional base to it which justifies the violence, something that would be continuing from Vivek Oberoi centric RAKHT CHARITRA to Suriya driven RAKHT CHARITRA - 2.

"Why you actually feel the impact of violence in the film is due to the emotional volatile characters that you see in the film," reasons Ramu who has garnered immense critical appreciation from RAKHT CHARITRA 1 and is now getting ready for release plans of the second installments, "Also, if you look at it carefully, there is a certain composure of each of the characters."
Ramu attributes the intense characterisation to some of the unusual real life people that he came in contact with or was told about while devising RAKHT CHARITRA.
"The kind of emotions and expressions that I got for RAKHT CHARITRA is something that I have never got before," says Ramu, "I personally feel that I have changed a lot as a director and a person while making this film. I have also rejuvenated myself."
The director of RANN, SARKAR, COMPANY, SATYA and RANGEELA goes on to make a declaration, "I honestly feel that the films that I would be making post RAKHT CHARITRA would be very different from what I have done from the past. I am not saying they would be brilliant films or necessarily better than my past efforts. However, they would be different for sure."
Meanwhile, we wait for his 'life changing' film RAKHT CHARITRA 2 to release on 3rd December.
