As things stand today, GOLMAAL 3 is a super hit at the least. Now that's a super thrilling development for its makers because to begin with, there was quite some cynicism attached to GOLMAAL 3.
During its making it was said that a rushed job was being done as the makers had closed on Diwali as the release timing and hence were working backwards. Then it was also being said that Ajay Devgn had too many commitments right through the year and hence it would be deja vu for audience once GOLMAAL 3 hits the screen. The promo too got some criticism for the same reason (deja vu) and even when the film took a bumper opening, it was said to be due to its loyal fan base and brand recall value more than anything else.
It wasn't just left at this point. It was being speculated that the film would crash on Saturday. When Saturday boasted of record collections, a fall was predicted on Monday. When even that didn't happen, it was said to be a one week game which would fizzle out by the second weekend. And now when the second weekend has opened on a bumper note as well, tongues have finally stopped wagging.
With acknowledgment finally coming the way of this Rohit Shetty directed film, it is crystal clear that the film would turn out to be amongst the top successes of the year. While DABANGG is certainly going to stay on the top, RAAJNEETI is certainly being threatened. The only film that could possibly threat it from being the second big money spinner of the year is TEES MAAR KHAN.
