Akshay Kumar is working with Sajid Khan for third time in a row after HEYY BABYY, HOUSEFULL and now HOUSEFULL 2. One wonders though whether he is restricting himself to any particular camp of film makers.
"Let people speculate, for me it is mine, and not anyone else's personal judgement that decides my future course of action," Akshay stands by his director here, "I make so many movies in a year and I want to enjoy my work. Look at it this way, the success of a release barely lasts a few days but my shooting schedules last for 3-4 months. In fact sometimes, it is even more. I want to work with people whom I love making films with."
"In the course of the last two decades that I have been in the industry, I have made solid work associations and those people will get preference as they deserve that. Still, as I have always maintained, my doors are not closed to the others," he says.
Stating an example, Akshay adds, "Now David Dhawan’s son Rohit is directing me in a film. He is a debutante. I agreed to do that project because I liked the script and Rohit comes across as a very self assured first time director. Eventually, my being in a project depends on what interests me."
