After the double success of NEW YORK and DOSTANA, stocks of John Abraham had improved by many notches. With film makers lining up to sign him on, it was expected that John would go on a signing spree. Instead, the only film to which John gave a go-ahead was JHOOTHA HI SAHI.
"People thought that I was crazy," John says in an earnest tone, "They said that I should capitalise on the success of DOSTANA and NEW YORK. My question to them was - 'What kind of capitalisation? Should I work in only good stuff or anything average too that came my way?'. When people said 'good', my reply was - 'This is exactly what I want. JHOOTHA HI SAHI'is the only good script that has come my way whereas everything else being offered has been average.'" CHECK OUT: I am non-violent person
This stance adopted by John meant that there was no other film that he signed for as many as eight months.
"I felt so much in love with the script of JHOOTHA HI SAHI that something really mind blowing had to come my way to get a nod of approval. I sat at home, read scripts but didn't get pick anything mediocre. It took a lot of guts for me to take a break when I had no backing in the industry. Still, I know where I wanted to head for in the long run. I may have lesser releases but I have to give something good every year."
One really hopes now that the wait is really worth it once the film releases all over on 15th October.
