The Dabangg DVD & VCD launch function organized by Reliance BIG Home Video turned out to be an exciting, interactive and lively event. The media turnout was well represented across TV, Press, Websites and Magazines.
Arbaaz started the evening by mentioning that he was happy to be associated with Reliance Big Home Video and was sure that the Home Video of DABANGG would do as well as the Film and urged the consumers to buy the original DVD, which is why the movie has been released on Home Video within four weeks of theatrical. He also stated that it is important that producers realize that original content has to reach the consumer at the earliest and this will help in curbing piracy. He also announced that DABANGG 2 starring the superstar Salman Khan & Sonakshi will go on floors very soon.
Sweta Agnihotri then took over and thanked Arbaaz, the entire Cast and the Landmark team for putting up such a great event together. She also reiterated that 'DABANGG is a must own DVD as apart from the movie the consumers get a special disc with the Making of the film which has been specially made for the DVD with Mr. Shatrugan Sinha hosting the making.
The Home Video was then official launched by the starcast and a special capsule of the making was shown to the audience and the members of the media. The clip was well appreciated by all.
Abhinav then spoke about his experience on the film and about the script playing a very important part in the huge success of the film. He was very confident that the film would do well and thanked all the consumers in making this film a super success.
Sonakshi speaking on the occasion thanked the public for their support in making the film a super-hit. When the press asked her to repeat her famous dialogue 'Thapad se dhar nahi lagta saab, pyar se lagta hai' she sportingly repeated the dialogue which was loved by the audience who wanted her to repeat it once more...
Mallaika was asked about her Hit track 'Munni Badnam Hui and her reaction to the success of the song, she said that her journey from being the Chaiyya Chaiya girl to the current Munni has been great and she loved every minute of it, infact she really likes being called Munni now.
