The much talked about film BASRA, which was Abhay Deol's first attempt at producing films has been shelved according to latest reports.

Reports indicate that the film was getting delayed and its co-producers also felt that the budget of the film was too high. Though cost cutting measures were also considered but still the fate of the project seems to be doomed.

BASRA was to be directed by glam, who earlier made the critically acclaimed film MANORMA: SIX FEET UNDER.
