JHOOTHA HI SAHI is all set to release and one can sense an excitement in the voice of its writer and leading lady Pakhi. After having lived with the story for a number of years, an anxious Pakhi is now waiting to see how the film is received by the audience. Another reason for this curiosity is due to the intrinsic nature of the film's plot which is centered on the lies that the central protagonist (played by John Abraham) mouths on a regular basis.
"Yes, I agree that right from our childhood days, it has been engraved in our minds that lying is bad. But then tell me one thing, don't we all lie", questions Pakhi who truly believes that an occasional lie doesn't really harm an individual, "Let me give an example. When a family of three is out shopping and a kid starts crying, doesn't his mother cajole him into staying quiet by saying that dad would be there any moment? And that too despite knowing it very clearly that it would take him quite a while to be back."
Extending her logic, Pakhi continues, "I have never understood that what's the big deal about lying? If your girlfriend asks you whether she is looking fat or ugly, won't you say everything positive even though she may not be looking her best that day? See, people lie for different reasons and in JHOOTHA HI SAHI we have captured something really beautiful. The hero here is a liar and as an audience, you are bound to root for him that he doesn't get caught."
Well Pakhi, we hope the film is indeed good and you are not the one who is lying!
