In August this year it was ex- Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen and actor Vivek Oberoi who paid a visit to the holy city of Vrindavan, famous for its historic Banky Bihari Mandir, dedicated to Lord Krishna. And next it was the turn of Sushmita's co-star of KYUNKI...MAIN JHOOTH NAHIN BOLTA, ex-comedy king Govinda, to pay homage to Lord Krishna at Vrindavan.
The actor who had come to Delhi to participate in a personal function took time out to pay a visit to Vrindavan (Mathura) and offer prayer at the historic temple, Bankey Bihari Mandir. Govinda reached the city at around seven on Sunday evening, stayed in the VIP enclosure of the temple for around half an hour where he performed traditional 'pooja' as per the rituals.
He also addressed the fourth estate, who had gathered in large numbers to cover his visit. Refusing to comment on his forthcoming films, Govinda simply stated that this was a religious visit. But the star did wish all his fans and the people best wishes for 'Dussehra' and 'Diwali' saying that he has prayed for peace and harmony as well as prosperity for all and this was amongst his prime wishes that he had asked 'Thakur jee' for!
