More than a year after the success of NEW YORK, John Abraham would finally be seen on the big screen in JHOOTHA HI SAHI. Though he did have an AASHEYIN in the interim, it was a much delayed release which came without any fanfare and disappeared without making any noise.
However, another film of his which has fortunately stayed on in news and is still pretty much awaited is David Dhawan's HOOK YA CROOK. The film, which pairs Genelia D'Souza opposite him, was launched two years back but has still not reached the finishing line. Why?
"The matter of the fact is that the film's climax requires members from the Indian and South African cricket team. We are still trying to get combination dates from all these cricketers and this is what taking us so much time to complete the film", sighs John.
He goes on to narrate an interesting tale surrounding HOOK YA CROOK.
"Barring the climax sequence, rest of the film is complete. We have even shown it to a sample audience and they loved what they saw. Their only complaint was that why didn't we show them the entire film. I have promised then that it would happen soon", John brings on a smile here.
Meanwhile, the audience can get their hands full of John in JHOOTHA HI SAHI which releases all over this Friday.
