For any actor, it is a matter of great pride to be given a pat on the back by none other than Aditya Chopra. For John Abraham too, it was a big high when Chopra Jr. complimented him for the effort that he had put into his upcoming release JHOOTHA HI SAHI. For someone who has seen the actor grow in his productions like DHOOM, KABUL EXPRESS and NEW YORK, Aditya's words were of course taken seriously.

Says a source close to John, "Aditya really liked the fact that instead of playing up to his hunky image, John transformed into a geek so effortlessly. He also went ahead and complimented John by stating that if people liked his body in DOSTANA, they would remember him for his performance in JHOOTHA HI SAHI. He also felt that in terms of graduating in performance, John had indeed walked many steps ahead with the film."

Obviously, John is grinning from ear to ear and is now waiting to gauge audience reaction.

Obviously, Barring climax, HOOK YA CROOK is complete

"It didn't come easy though", says John, "As an actor with a set image, I had to actually break myself down physically. Really, it requires guts to do such a role. This is a beautiful film and the kind which is performance based."

No wonder, John understands that he has taken a risk with the film where he is going against his image.

"Time and again, people come and tell me that 'John, tu commercial hero ke setup mein bilkul fit baithta hai'. They are right; if I follow their advice, I would have a safe journey ahead. Still, I love taking risks", signs off John with a smile on his face and hope in his hearts that audience would lap up this risky outing of his.
