The wait is over. Ever since the release of DHOOM 2, one had waited for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to get into a dance mode which was massy rather than classy (GURU, RAAVAN). While her classy outings have been appreciated as well, the masses had been waiting for something that goes with the image of a quintessential leading lady in Bollywood. Now that couple of her songs from ACTION REPLAYY - 'Chaan Ke Mohalla' and 'Zor Ka Jhatka' - have released and are a hit with the masses, the team of ACTION REPLAYY is grinning from ear to ear.
"I knew for sure that audience were waiting to see this other side of Ash's personality on the big screen", says Vipul Shah who has turned out to be one of those rare film makers who has managed to make Ash shed her inhibitions when it came to massy numbers, "She is someone who can play anything and everything. It was just a matter of getting the setting correct. Now that we all can see how she has danced in ACTION REPLAYY, reactions have been mind blowing all over. I have been getting congratulatory calls from all over that gives me a reason to believe that as a team we have done quite well, especially Ash."
While the 'holi' song is fast catching eyeballs, the number 'Zor Ka Jhatka', where Ash has donned a completely different avtar, is already making its way to the top of the charts.
"The song arrives twice in the film. While it is there in the end credit title roll, it is also there in the narrative of the film though in an altogether different avtar", informs Vipul, "It is a concept song. If you hear the lyrics carefully, they reflect the thought process of the protagonists who believe that 'shaadi' is a disaster. Still, the way the song has been designed and Akshay along with Ash have danced to it, the song comes across as a lot of fun where everyone can laugh along with it."
Also starring Neha Dhupia and Aditya Roy Kapoor, ACTION REPLAYY releases all over on 5th November 2010.
