Neetu Chandra has devised huge plans for her debut production venture DESWA. Though Bhojpuri films see a limited released in the country, DESWA would be going big. Not just would it see a pan-India release in early 2011, it would also explore global audience with premiers taking place in different parts of the world.
"We are aiming at going global with the film", divulges Neetu whose brother Nitin Chandra is directing the film, "The film would not just be premiered in Patna, Delhi and Lucknow but also Mauritius. After all there are so many Biharis out there in Mauritius. DESWA would help them make a connect with their own soil all over again. We may even go to other countries for a premier."
As per Neetu, the film would not just have dialogues in Bhojpuri but also in Hindi, English and - believe it or not - Telugu. Moreover, the film would be dubbed in Tamil, Telugu as well as Marathi so that it reaches out to the farthest corner of the country.
"The intent here is not just to make a film, make profits and sit back and relax. This is just a humble beginning and there are miles to go", says Neetu, "With DESWA, we would be redefining the very face of Bhojpuri cinema."
The film sees the launch of three newcomers - Deepak Singh, Kranti Prakash and Ajay Kumar. However, Neetu would be seen only in a guest appearance and not as the leading lady. Instead, a girl by the name of Aarti Puri is being seen in the film. From Bollywood, it is Ashish Vidyarthi who would be seen in a major role. Currently, DESWA is being sent to film festivals before it sees a theatrical release.
