By now it is clear to all and sundry that Salman Khan's DABANGG has smashed 3 IDIOTS' seemingly impossible to break opening day and weekend records. While 3 IDIOTS had netted 13 crore on its first Friday and 41 crore during the first weekend (including 3 crores from paid previews on Thursday), DABANGG has a 14 crore Friday and is sure to cross 45 crore in 3 days flat, without any paid previews! But that was on the cards and what is more heartening is that the performance of the 'desi' flavoured, 'based in the interiors' film in the Overseas.

As per the data available with us, DABANGG has grossed 1m Dirham in Dubai and about £100, 000 in the UK on the opening day. The film also has an opening day gross of about $160, 000 from US, the best for a Salman Khan solo. Even in Australia it's likely to gross Aus$120,000 during the opening weekend, another impressive figure.

Well, as we have said above, the Indian performance does not come as a surprise to us, rather it is the Overseas numbers which are a pleasant surprise and it should stop all those who have been questioning Salman Khan's Overseas pull off late.
