Two weeks ago, Fox Star Studios made its entry into the Tamil film industry with the announcement that it had tied a two film deal with A.R. Murugadoss Productions.

Now, it is another Hollywood studio making inroads into the Tamil Film industry. Warner Bros, which was hobnobbing with the idea of entering the Tamil film arena, is expected to make its official announcement about their production of films in the next week.

The production house is expected to evolve itself into production and distribution of Tamil films in particular and South Indian languages on the whole.

A year ago, Warner Bros had signed a pact with Soundarya Rajnikanth's Orcher Studios and had planned to produce big-budget South Indian films. Later, after rumors did the rounds about WB canceling their pact with Orcher Studios, the pact fizzled into thin air.

Warner Bros holds special mention for having churned out some of the sensational hits of 2010 namely TERMINATOR SALVATION, THE HANGOVER, 17 AGAIN, SHERLOCK HOLMES, INCEPTION and the HARRY POTTER series including Harry Potter and the Deadly Hollows.
