In a clutter of close to 20 releases which are arriving in the month of October, DUS TOLA is also releasing which has Aarti Chhabria playing a key protagonist along with Manoj Bajpai. If this wasn't an unlikely combination by itself, further (pleasant) surprise comes from the fact that this is a light hearted tale set in a small town with a comic touch to it.
"But then this is not a senseless comedy by any means," Aarti is quick to warn, "I think what is happening is that there are a lot of senseless comedies that are coming in practically every month. The oft repeated statement there is - 'Leave your brains behind and come for it'. I am not against that. After all, I too like such films. However, everything is good in limits. If one or two such films come then it is fine."
No wonder, Aarti is gung-ho about DUS TOLA since she gets into a sensible world of some clean humour this time around.
"Other than the fact that it has some good humour to it, what is of good importance here is that it has the kind of subject and dialogues that convey a message. The film has its own wisdom and I am sure that jo bhi insaan isse dekhega, usse kuch na kuch seekh toh zaroor milegi", Aarti gets serious here.
However, a small town setting also means that the film would have a restricted frame with a few even expected to argue that such subjects could well be seen on the small screen.
"The kind of entertainment that DUS TOLA has to offer, it is best experienced on the big screen. In fact one of the best cinematographers of the country - S. Kumar - has shot it and has given the film a very good visual appeal. The film would be loved by kids as well as adults," Aarti makes a confident statement.
Directed by first timer Ajoy, DUS TOLA releases all over on 22nd October.
