Farah Khan has decided to lend her support for a charitable cause. She will be supporting special children through a charitable organisation.
The Research Society for the Care, Treatment and Training of Children In Need of Special care also called the Jaivakeel School in Sewri, Mumbai is a charitable organization that works with children and individuals with a mental handicap and associated disabilities for the last 67 years.
This year, as part of the national 'Joy Of Giving' Week (from 26th September to 2nd October 2010) The Jaivakeel School will organise a fundraising auction 'Treasure Trove' wherein interesting objets d'art, collectibles, designer creations, luxury items, celebrity interactions will go under the hammer besides signature artworks from India's leading artists.
Treasure Trove, the charity auction of Art & Luxury will take place at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai on 29th September, 2010
Ms. Tehmi Shroff, Administrative Director of the Jaivakeel School adds, "Over the last 67 years we have provided special education & rehabilitation to lakhs of special children to enable them to live a life of dignity. Our vision forward is to create a greater acceptance of this segment in society while making the Institute financially sound & independent."
Apart from Farah Khan eminent personalities like Ms. Neerja Birla, and Ms. Bijal Meswani have extended their unflinching support as patrons of this auction 'Treasure Trove' for the Institute.
