Not many are aware but young Arjan Bajwa plays a very important role in Emraan Hashmi starrer CROOK. Though he is not saying it, his role has strong negative shades to it. However, term him as the 'villain of the piece' and he is quick to put his defenses up.
"The thing is that right now when you pick up any script, you would see that there is no hard and fast rule when it comes to characterisation. There is no quintessential hero or lead protagonist today. Everything has become a character and every person who features in a story is important," says Arjan who has earlier appeared in FASHION and GURU.
"I would rather term it as a character which is really very strong. Still, it is not an unabashed display of villainy here. In any case, there is no hero-heroine-villain in today's scenario. You have to play a character which people take home with them and remember that. I guess rather than playing a hero who is there for a few scenes but doesn't add up to the film, it is better to play a character which has a huge impact on the story and leads to a turning point in the narrative. That's the way I look at it," he reasons.
Starring Neha Sharma as the female protagonist, CROOK is a Mohit Suri directed film and releases all over on 8th October.
