Emraan Hashmi romances two girls in his upcoming release. However, other than the two girls, he also seems to be lucky once again with music. After ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, Emraan is again looking at a musical score with Pritam which is finding a place amongst the top slots in the charts. One wonders how does the music of each of his films turns out to be a hit time and again.
"I don't know really," laughs, "It is entirely Pritam's show all the way. He has been giving chartbuster songs to majority of my films and after ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, it is now CROOK which is seeing fantastic response coming its way."
There are talks in the industry that Emraan also makes a contribution of sorts when it comes to the compositions of his films. Is that true?
"Well, I do hear the tracks before the shooting but only in actor's capacity because I need to get into the right mood before I land up on sets," says Emraan, "Of what I have seen so far, even though I may be hearing a scratch version by Pritam for the first time, it is always bang on target in the first instance itself. Later, Pritam only betters the track by 500% and it is something phenomenal when the final version comes out in the market.”
Has it ever happened that Pritam has come to him with a bouquet of songs for his approval and he has picked and chosen the best?
"It has happened only once or twice earlier where Pritam gave us tunes and asked us to pick from there," says Emraan after a brief pause, "But then again, I wasn't the only one in that meeting. There was Bhatt saab present as well and we all know the keen ear he has for music. Eventually it is a cumulative creative decision with the director being at the forefront. Ultimately, it is his vision that has to be adhered to."
