There have been rumours and there would be rumours. However the one which we hear around TEEN THAY BHAI takes the cake.
Is TEEN THAY BHAI inspired by THE HANGOVER (2009)? This is one of the strong rumours making the rounds in the industry circles around the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra film which is all set to release next week. The reason behind this speculation is simple. Just like the Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms starrer smash hit comedy, TEEN THAY BHAI too is about three men (Om Puri, Shreyas Talpade and Deepak Dobriyal) who are on a road trip and get into numerous squabbles and fights, albeit in a light hearted way.

"You can't help but look at the glaring similarities here," says a film enthusiast, "TEEN THAY BHAI is all about a common journey which these three brothers take despite not being on good terms with each other. THE HANGOVER too had a similar pretext and though the leads out there were friends, there were constant arguments between them. Both films are plot driven and take a humorous approach in telling the tale of what happened between these three men during the days they spent with each other."
The makers though are expectedly denying any similarities whatsoever and saying that it is nothing but someone's figment of imagination to even insinuate that TEEN THAY BHAI could be remotely similar to THE HANGOVER.
"It is silly to hear something like that," says a source attached to the film, "How can you compare the two? TEEN THAY BHAI is about three brothers who are brought together as required by their grandfather's will which requires them to spend some time together in an isolated snowed out cabin. Tell me where was the grandfather, will, snow and brothers in THE HANGOVER?"
When contacted, Mehra just laughed before commenting, "No, TEEN THAY BHAI has nothing to do with THE HANGOVER."
