After wrapping up a major schedule of JOKER in Chandigarh, Shirish Kunder is now gearing up to kick-start the second schedule in May. This time around, the film's shooting would be held in Mumbai. Meanwhile the filmmaker, who had last directed a film (JAAN-E-MANN) half a decade back, is attributing the smooth run of JOKER so far to destiny.
"Just think of it, we had barely released TEES MAAR KHAN in December last year and in January we were busy making preparations to fly down to Chandigarh in February for JOKER," he says, "It is sheer miracle that things fell in place all by themselves. We had dates available from all lead actors along with those from a huge supporting cast. When destiny decides, things happen. The same is the case with JOKER as well."
Having said that, the going wasn't really a cakewalk though for Shirish as other than being a director, he is also wearing a producer's hat for JOKER. This meant that he had various responsibilities on the sets that required him to be on the job even between the canning of two shots.
"Yes that pressure was immense in fact," says Shirish, "More so because the first schedule itself for JOKER was so big. Moreover we were shooting outdoors and that too outside the comfort zone of Mumbai. It was always there at the back of the mind but somehow I am glad that we are managing to pull it off well."
