Promo of READY has become a rage on satellite world as well as the internet, hence wiping away competition arising from all forthcoming movies for next two months at the least. With millions of viewers worldwide waking up to the First Look of READY, the game is set for the makers to continue the momentum.
"Within two days of the promo being released, we got the kind of reactions that DABANGG had managed for itself in two weeks. For that too we have to thank DABANGG only since it worked so very well with the fan base of Salman Khan", agrees Bhushan Kumar, head honcho of T-Series and the producer of the film, "People wanted something big to come after DABANGG and we were conscious of that as well to give them something like READY which actually manages to live up to the expectations."
No wonder, there was quite some brainstorming that went behind putting together those two minutes of the film's promo.
"To tell you honestly, we were very tensed about how the promo of READY would be received. DABANGG benchmark is quite difficult to be surpassed and we were nervous about whether READY would get similar reactions or not", Bhushan adds, "It was all very scary because it would have been quite tough for the film if people wouldn't have liked the promo."
Bhushan spread his own survey team in the market to gauge people reaction.
"I wanted to know from 'aam junta' on what they thought", he says, "Thankfully 75% of the people are saying that they loved the promo. I am not saying whether our promo is bigger or smaller than DABANGG but the fact that it has worked with the masses is what gladdens me the most. Now it is time to move on to the next phase."
