Ekta Kapoor's dabble with big screen seems to have already created a niche for itself. Now, every film from her side is expected to be of a certain kind: low budget, young at heart and edgy in its plotline.
And Ekta has given a name to her film genre. She prefers to call it Date Cinema, a genre, which is still not very popular in our industry.
Talking about moving from TV to films, Ekta says, "I was going through creative fatigue as doing the same thing day in and day out is tough. Moreover, I love to wear different hats. Through my films I am trying to say what I have been waiting to say for so many years now."
With Ekta trying to make her own kind of cinema popular, the efforts so far have already paid her dividends with much more to look out for.
