Anushka reveals, "It was Maneesh's idea to organise workshops. Since I am not a trained actor, it is indeed helpful to be a part of such workshops. Having said that, I was a bit apprehensive about it in the beginning as I didn't quite know what I was getting into. All this while for most of my films so far, I have done things on my own by going through the script in detail. Yes, I have been a part of readings before where we basically stayed on with the script. However for this workshop since there was the director as well as other actors around, I felt a little inhibited."
Expectedly, all was well eventually as the workshop helped break ice between all.
"It became a nice interactive session and I realised that an actor gets so much more opportunity to improvise even before landing on the sets. This is something that I found most interesting because I could now see different things in the script that were earlier not clearly visible. Like Ranveer may mouth a dialogue and as per the script I may be required to react in a particular way. However during these workshops we could innovate things after discussions as something may also be uttered impromptu. This really helped in developing my characterization," she details.
Well, we look forward to how the results were eventually enhanced once the film releases all over on 9th December.
