Model-turned-actor Rajneesh Duggal, who has worked with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt in two back-to-back films - 1920 and the latest one PHHIR, highly regards and appreciates Vikram's knack for making horror films. In fact he calls his mentor (Vikram) as 'king of horror genre'.
Rajneesh proudly says, "Vikram has become the king of horror films without a doubt. The way he shoots a film, the way he creates that fear in the minds of people is just mind blowing."
However there is yet another man who specializes in scaring the living daylights out with his out-an-out horror films and that is our very own Ram Gopal Verma. But somewhere Rajneesh feels Ramu's films (horror) these days lack the punch which was prevalent in his earlier films.
"Besides him (Vikram) the only person who has managed to do it is Ramu. But after films like RAAT and BHOOT the spooky element reduced from his films probably the reason being he sort of went to underworld side. So, Vikramji horror wise is the best guy."
Talking about his upcoming release PHHIR, Rajneesh says, "PHHIR is not at all the sequel of 1920. It's a fresh and different script. 1920 was about a married couple who get stuck in a haunted place whereas the concept of PHHIR is based on Karmas."
PHHIR is all set to relaease in theatres on 12th August 2011
