Ekta Kapoor held in airport by customs officials

Bollywood Producer Ekta Kapoor was detained in the Mumbai airport on Sunday night by customs officials for suspected duty evasion.


The founder of Balaji Telefilms was travelling with goods worth Rs 10 lakhs but had declared goods of Rs 8 lakhs only, media reports said.

The custom officials reportedly slammed Kapoor with a fine of Rs. 30,000 for the suspected duty evasion.

Kapoor, who as returning from Bangkok was let off after a case was booked, late on Sunday night.

With this incident, Ekta joined the long list of B-town celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba who have got to the wrong side of customs officials for not declaring goods.
