Emphasizing on the 'entertainment quotient' and how he was quite sure from the very beginning that he wouldn't compromise on audience's interest level, first time director Parvin Dabas says that with SAHI DHANDHE GALAT BANDE he wanted to rise above creating something which was merely time-pass.

"I really believe that no matter what's the kind of genre I am exploring; be it horror, sci-fi, romantic, thriller, at the end of the day it should be entertaining. And by entertainment I don't mean time-pass entertainment. I can do that in different ways as long as I can have my audience's attention. This was something that was pretty much clear in my mind."

Now that the film is getting readied for release, Parvin is confident that he has managed to see the kind of reactions that he wanted from his audience.

"I am pretty excited about the way people are accepting a film like this," he gleams, "Test screenings so far have been pretty encouraging. I am happy with what I have made. I now just hope that a wider base of audience likes it as well."

The film is about a gang comprising of four friends - Parvin Dabas, Vansh Bharadwaj (seen earlier in Preity Zinta's VIDESH - HEAVEN ON EARTH), Ashish Nayyar and Kuldip Ruhil who are given a job which would give them enough money to make all their dreams come true. However, to achieve that they are required to go against their conscience and the village to which they belong.

Starring Anupam Kher, Kiran Juneja, Sharat Saxena and Yashpal Sharma in other principal roles, SAHI DHANDHE GALAT BANDE releases on 19th August.
