By the looks and getup of actor Sanjay Dutt, it is being said that upcoming release CHATUR SINGH TWO STAR is heavily inspired from Hollywood's hit comedy PINK PANTHER. However producer Mohamed Aslam clearing all the speculations says that CHATUR SINGH has nothing to do with PINK PANTHER.
"CHATUR SINGH is not inspired from PINK PANTHER. As far as the look of the film is concerned it may give one a feel of PINK PANTHER as the lead actors in both films are donning an overcoat, a hat and sporting a moustache. People are saying that the overcoat is similar to Peter Sellers', but that is how most detectives dress up. So what if the getup appears to be similar. Does that make a copy of PINK PANTHER?" questions Aslam.
Further talking about CHATUR SINGH Aslam says, "CHATUR SINGH is a sober comedy which will be loved by one and all - from kids to oldies. And it has been made from heart."
Sanjay Dutt, who sports a wig in the film for his role, is specially ordered from London and bit expensive. Producer Aslam acknowledges, "Yes the wig which Sanjay sports in the film is quite expensive. It cost somewhere around 20-25 lakhs. Sanjay ordered for a special wig from London made by Hollywood wig specialist and prosthetic makeup artist."
Directed by Ajay Chandhok CHATUR SINGH TWO STAR is all set to hit the screens on 19th August 2011.
