Last seen as a saccharine sweet teacher, Miss Rosy, in a very important role in Amol Gupte's heart touching runaway hit STANLEY KA DABBA, actress Divya Dutta received all round accolades for her top notch performance. And not to forget, MONICA, the socio-political film in which Divya left her mark in a standout performer. No wonder that actress Divya Dutta is very happy and satisfied with the way her career is shaping up in Bollywood and the straight forward actress has no qualms in accepting that she loves to do both parallel as well as commercial cinema.
While replying to the question put forth during her Meerut trip a few days back, Divya said, 'I am an actor. I love to do both commercial and art house cinema. While parallel cinema gives me the opportunity to do challenging and different kinds of role, commercial cinema gives fame and money which I like.'
When asked about what kind of roles she would want to do in her future films Divya said, 'I want to do roles with substance and I am very happy with the strong actress image that I have made for myself in the Hindi film industry and touch wood whenever there is such a role, filmmakers think of me and offer it to me.'
Certainly Divya, we are sure that there will be many more heartwarming roles and strong characters that you will essay in your forthcoming films and we will look forward to all of them!
