RASCALS is up for release and for its maker David Dhawan, it is yet another instance of him seeking advice from his sons who are themselves looking at making it big in the world of movies. So even as Varun was preparing himself as an actor for Karan Johar's in-production STUDENT OF THE YEAR, Rohit was working on his own directorial debut DESI BOYZ. Still, the trio got together when it came to brainstorming on films that the head of the family has been directing, something that has been a trend right from the days of MUJHSE SHAADI KAROGI.

"Yes, I do take an opinion of my sons and I have done the same for RASCALS as well. I show them scenes from my films and hear their point of view. After all they are youngsters and are bound to have quite a few good suggestions around how audience of today would want to see in a film. With two talented sons at home who do know a thing or two about films, I must respect their opinion," Dhawan nods in agreement here.
Continuing to talk about RASCALS, the director adds that though the film has a young outlook to it, it will have vintage 'David Dhawan' elements to it that would have audience rolling in the aisles.
'Entertainment se bhari hui picture hai yeh,' promises Dhawan, "It is a full on masala entertainer and the best part about it is that such is the tempo here that it never slows down at any juncture."
Well, with RASCALS releasing all over this Dussehra on 6th October, DESI BOYZ arriving on 25th November and STUDENT OF THE YEAR hitting the screens in 2012, looks like next twelve months would be the most eventful for the entire Dhawan family.
