He may be playing a 'boss' on screen but in real life, 'Bittoo' was pretty much taken for a ride by the girl who plays his lady love. The story goes like this. For the shooting of his debut film BITTOO BOSS, new-find Pulkit Samrat had to drive through the by-lanes of a small city called Anandpur up North. Though he did go through the motions as asked by the director, when it came to exploring the city he had to depend entirely on his leading lady Amita Pathak. Guess it was pretty much akin to PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA moment revisited for the boy here as it was a girl who was calling the shots. 'It was pretty much a role reversal for me as I could hardly stay on to be the 'boss' here. In fact Amita was pretty much driving the show here, literally so', laughs Pulkit who plays the part of BITTOO BOSS in this film which is the next young offering of PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA maker Abhishek Pathak, 'I had never been to this part of the country whereas Amita was so much familiar with Anandpur. She offered to show me around the city which was pretty ironic because in the film, it is just the opposite where I take her out for a joy ride.'
For Amita, who is Abhishek's sister and daughter of prolific producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, Anandpur was pretty much her home since quite a few of her maternal relatives still live there. Right from her childhood to now, she has been often frequenting Anandpur due to which she is quite aware about every nook and corner of the city. Says Amita, ''During breaks and after pack up, Pulkit used to wonder how he would pass time in a small city like this. After all he comes from Delhi and has been living in Mumbai for last few years. He didn't have any clue around Anandpur so I offered to take him for a ride.'
Directed by Supavitra Babul, BITTOO BOSS is fast reaching towards the finishing mark and is aiming for a 20th April release.
