Bollywood's top lyricist, writer and poet, Javed Akhtar, was in the University City of Aligarh to offer condolence to the family of his bereaved childhood friend, Professor Farhan Mujeeb, who passed away on 15th December. Javed Akhtar and Dr. Farhan were childhood friends and very close.

Since Javed Akhtar was abroad he could not make to the funeral (although his wife, actress Shabana Azmi did) but as soon as he landed in India he rushed to Aligarh.

So distressed was Javed Akhtar at the loss of his friend (since the age of 11), that he could not suppress his tears. He spoke briefly to the press and said, "We were friends since school and shared a very special relationship. Even though he is far way now but I feel he will live forever in my heart and memories."

Javed Sahab also revealed why he named his son as Farhan saying, "I was so very close to my friend Farhan Mujeeb, and such was the effect of his personality and friendship that I named my son Farhan, because I wanted my son to be like him."

Well, with a heavy heart we too offer Javed Sahab and his family condolence at such a personal loss.
