Ever since news break happened around Ekta Kapoor signing Emraan Hashmi for yet another film after the super-success of THE DIRTY PICTURE, there has been massive speculation around the 'camp shift' that has apparently taken place for the Bhatts' blue eyed boy. Known for delivering successes primarily with Bhatts, of late Emraan has tasted success on with Ekta, case in point being ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI and now his latest film. With Ekta declaring that she now wants to make at least one movie every year with Emraan, it has only led to rumours around all not being well between the actor and Bhatts.
EMRAAN HASHMI and MAHESH BHATT
''Emraan has tasted success outside the Bhatt camp and two back to back successes are a solid reaffirmation of that,' says a trade source, 'It is natural that he won't hold himself back in a particular camp. Yes, Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt always made sure that Emraan was the central protagonist in their films (case in point being MURDER 2) whereas with other filmmakers, he is sharing the spoils (DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI being another example). However, he will certainly get his due there as well. It is just a matter of time as Emraan is now firmly placed amongst the Top-10 leading men that industry has today.'' CHECK OUT: THE DIRTY PICTURE success to revive Emraan's RAFTAAR 24X7?
Though Bhatts have stayed quiet on the 'issue' so far, rumour mongers are having a field day wondering if there would be further round of renegotiation between them and Emraan once his current lot of films (JANNAT 2, RAAZ 3) reach their culmination. These are some of the commitments that Emraan made in the past though from 2013 onwards, he could well be looking at a newer lot of films.
On contacted, Emraan gave out a hearty laugh before commenting. He said, ''Who gives you such piece of information? Really, how can people imagine that there could be anything wrong between Bhatts and myself? When the trial show of THE DIRTY PICTURE was held, it was Bhatt saab who whistled the most? He was the first one who came to me after the show and said that the film would do wonders for me. He is relieved that I am doing well. See, Bhatt saab is cautious about the work that I do outside Vishesh Films because he cares and wants me to do well, that's it.''
